Fall '25 Classes:

"How to Actually Build a Community"

NEW:  We’re excited to offer another round of our “How To Actually Build A Community” class, which will kick off the week of November 3rd. Much like our one-off Mini Sessions, these classes are standalone and will go deeper into how to start (or strengthen) community care/activist networks in a wide variety of settings (rural areas, urban areas, virtual spaces, etc.). Have you ever gone to am activist meeting and wondered, “Why do I feel so uncomfortable here?” Have you ever hung out at a block party and thought, “This is fun, but is it changing anything?” Have you ever spent a day scrolling through your phone, being inundated with requests from brands to “join their community” and said to yourself, “I don’t think I have an actual community.”

In each case, this class is for you. We first launched these classes in Winter of 2025, and the turnout was incredible, with over 800 sign ups from January to May. Please see below for some extra details:

  • ​Enrollment will open on October 14th for each of the class slots.
  • We haven’t officially determined when enrollment will close, but we’re thinking that registration will end on November 3rd. This is dependent on our sign up numbers, so we’ll keep you posted there
  • Classes are free and will take place over zoom for 2 hours.
  • These classes are open to everyone. You are welcome to enroll if you’ve have taken a Barnraisers class in the past (prior cohort or mini session), or if you’re new to the Barnraisers experience.
  • You only need to sign up for one of the offered dates/times.
